Eye-tracking software company Visual Camp will release “True Gaze,” the world's first software solution for gaze data analysis in the software as a service (SaaS) format on September 1.
The K-ICT Born2Global Center, which supports promising technology companies seeking to advance into the global market, said that True Gaze is analysis software that can run the whole process of analysis ranging from designing eye-tracking experiments in a VR environment to experiment management, analysis and results one stop.
Visual Camp is one of the companies supported by the K-ICT Born2Global Center.
True Gaze is a web platform-based service that provides immediate technical support for various issues that occur during an eye tracking experiment. It is characterized by the fact that there is no need to install complicated data analysis software.
Eye-tracking techniques have long been used in a variety of cognitive research such as neuroscience and behavioral science. In particular, gaze data have been regarded as important data for analyzing a subject’s interest and intentions.
Recently, as the demand for analysis of gaze data has increased in various fields such as usability tests of various goods and services, advertisement configuration and location efficiency tests, the establishment of marketing strategy for shops, surgery training for medical personnel and industrial and disaster education, the market for the True Gaze solutions is expanding. Visual Camp is building exclusive sale systems in the Chinese and Japanese markets as well as the Korean market in order to expand the distribution of True Gaze.
"The real value of eye tracking technology comes from analyzing gaze data," said Seok Yun-chan, president of Visual Camp. “We will expand distribution to major countries such as China, Japan and Europe after its launch in Korea and develop it into the best analytical solution widely used in the global market. We will not only enhance its quality on the VR base, but expand its market by combining the technology with various devices such as mobile phones."
Visual Camp already signed an export contract with TUS-VR of Tsinghua University in China in May and is preparing to export the software on a full scale.
"Since the gaze data analysis software market has been dominated by foreign companies, the launch of the True Gaze visual analysis solution by Korean company Visual Camp is very special and is expected to bring import replacement effects,” said Kim Jong-kap, head of the Global2Global Center
Meanwhile, Visual Camp is a start-up which supplies VR/AR/mobile gaze tracking software and is steadily realizing technological innovation such as introducing the world's first mobile eye tracking technology at the Shanghai MWC in 2018.
