An invitation to Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Unpack Event

Samsung Electronics will take the wrap off its Galaxy Note 9 (tentative name) Smartphone in New York City, on August 9.

Samsung Electronics sent invitations to an event to launch a new product to media outlets around the world on June 28. The company did not reveal the name of the product but it is assumed that the product is the Galaxy Note 9. The venue is the Barclays Center in Brooklyn of New York City.

The event will kick off at 11 am on August 9. Compared to the fact that the Galaxy Note 8 was released on August 23 and released on September 21, last year, the Galaxy Note 9 will make its worldwide debut two to three weeks earlier. Analysts say that Samsung Electronics plans to do that to preempt the premium smartphone market before the launch of a new iPhone by Apple in September. The Galaxy Note 9 unpack events will be broadcast live on the Samsung Electronics newsroom and homepage.

The invitation has a picture of an object believed to be the Galaxy Note 9’s S Pen. In the meantime, there will be a change in S Pen as hints for new products have been given through invitations. The most likely change is the addition of a Bluetooth function to S Pen. Some experts predict that Samsung Electronics loaded S Pen with a Bluetooth function so the pen will be able to turn into a camera and a speaker.

According to foreign news stories put together, the Galaxy Note 9’s screen size is expected to be larger than those of the Galaxy Note 8 (6.3 inches) and the Galaxy S9 Plus (6.2 inches) as the Korean smartphone giant adopted a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display for the Galaxy Note 9. It is also expected that AI interface Bixby 2.0 will debut via the Galaxy Note 9.
