With 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Display
Samsung Electronics is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 9 in New York in early August as its flagship phone for the second half of this year. The product is likely to be released in late August. For reference, the Galaxy Note 8 was unveiled and released on August 23 and September 21 last year, respectively. It is said that this year’s earlier release date is to dominate the global high-end smartphone market before Apple releases the next iPhone in September.
According to industry insiders, the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S9+ have 6.3- and 6.2-inch displays, respectively.
Also, the Galaxy Note 9 is likely to maintain the Infinity Display design, which started from the Galaxy S8 last year. This design element is characterized by extremely narrow upper and lower front bezels. The new product is predicted to come with a 6 GB RAM along with 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB flash memories. An 8 GB RAM and a 512 GB flash memory are anticipated by some as well. The other possible specifications include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, Exynos 9810 and a battery with a capacity of 3,850 mAh to 4,000 mAh.
In a recently leaked photo, the back cover of the Galaxy Note 9 has a fingerprint sensor below its camera unlike its predecessor, in which the sensor is to the right of its camera. The feature to be provided on the upper side of the back cover is still unknown. In addition, a button was found on the lower left side. This button is a camera shutter key according to GSM Arena. The Galaxy Note 9 is expected to provide Bixby 2.0 along with enhanced camera features, too.
