Samsung Engineering has changed its name to Samsung E&A.
Samsung Engineering held its 57th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders at its Global Engineering Center (GEC) in the Sangil neighborhood of Gangdong district in Seoul on March 21. In the meeting, the company announced that an agenda on making a change in the Articles of Incorporation to reflect the company’s name change was passed as originally proposed.
Therefore, the company has finalized its name change to Samsung E&A. Its new CI will be unveiled in April.
“E” in Samsung E&A stands for engineers, representing the company’s strong assets, engineering technology, expansion into energy and the environment, and all of its employees, who will be the enablers and innovators in creating a sustainable and eco-friendly planet for tomorrow.
“A” comes from “AHEAD” and means the company’s values and dedication to pioneer the future by constantly leading change and differentiated work-wise innovation in its history of leading the Korean engineering industry.
To achieve its vision of becoming an engineering company that realizes a better future with advanced technology, the company plans to implement three mid- to long-term core strategies: differentiated work patterns; coping with social challenges with technology; and creating an organizational culture of respect, empathy and communications.
