“I was curious about Korean chicken and ramen, and it was really great to see the process and taste them. The flavor was surprisingly good.”

Chloe Sears from the U.K., participating as an International Service Team (IST) member at the 2023 Saemangeum Scout Jamboree, visited Harim Food Road on Aug. 3 and showed an astonishing response.

Starting from this day, over 100 Jamboree participants are immersing themselves in Korean cultural experience programs, touring through the chicken and ramen, instant rice, and other iconic Korean food production processes at Harim and Harim Industries in Iksan, Jeonbuk.

They experienced how chicken is produced at Harim Chicken Road and tasted various meat products such as fresh grilled chicken and nuggets on the spot.

Jamboree participants who visited Harim Kitchen Road, which consists of soup ramen, instant rice, and home convenience food production processes, also toured the state-of-the-art automated production process and sampled various noodles and instant rice.

Tour participants who came from the U.K., the Netherlands, Japan, Vietnam, China, Austria, Australia, Hong Kong, and the United States for the Jamboree support consistently said, “Watching the process of making iconic K-culture food like chicken, ramen, and rice and and tasting it was a special experience,” and “The Harim Food Road experience program arranged by the Jamboree Organizing Committee is very satisfying.”

In particular, they showed empathy, saying Harim’s food philosophy, which values freshness the most, has global universality and appeal.

The Harim Food Road visit program for Jamboree operating agents is scheduled to have around 3,000 IST members from various countries participate from Aug. 3 to 10.
