The Largest OLED TV Panel Currently Available

A 97-inch OLED.EX TV panel from LG Display

LG Display announced on Aug. 10 that it will participate in the 2022 Korea Display Exhibition with products powered by innovative technologies such as OLED.EX and transparent OLED panels.

The Korea Display Exhibition marks its 21st anniversary this year. The show is the largest display industry exhibition in Korea, hosted by the Korea Display Industry Association. This year’s event will run at COEX in Seoul from Aug. 10-12.

LG Display prepared the largest booth ever (about 320 square meters) in the shape of a city. The company showcases a 97-inch OLED.EX, the largest OLED TV panel currently in existence. OLED.EX is a panel that offers a 30 percent improvement in luminance (screen brightness) and an enhanced black color expression. The company applied EX technology, which consists of deuterium technology and personalized algorithm, to organic light emitting devices.

The 97-inch OLED.EX panel is also loaded with film cinematic sound OLED (CSO) technology that generates sound from the screen itself without a separate speaker. Therefore, it offers grand and three-dimensional sounds via 5.1 channels.
