Fluidic Sculpture

Hyundai Motor has announced that it will unveil a new work of art, which embodies the company’s design philosophy, at Milan Design Week 2015 being held on April 13.

Hyundai Motor will reveal the second version of “Sculpture in Motion,” a piece of kinetic art which was created in cooperation with world-famous artist Reuben Margolin.

The Sculpture in Motion is an installation that symbolizes Hyundai Motor’s design philosophy of fluidic sculpture. In 2013, the company unveiled the first version at Milan Design Week 2013. Also, Hyundai Motor’s Sound Design Research Lab was inspired by the movement of the work and composed a sound track, expressing the company’s design philosophy with sound.

Meanwhile, the Milan Design Week is a global prestigious design exhibition in which global brands of various fields, including fashion, automobiles, and exhibits, display design-related activities. More than 20 major auto brands such as Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, participate in the event.
