HRebecca Minkoff has designed this leather pouch for your Galaxy S6.ave you ever wanted your bleeding-edge security solution to include a Swarovski-designed sparkling crystal cover? Or have you ever wanted your leather-clad Rebecca Minkoff fashion statement to have better data security? With Samsung's Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge, you'll be able to have both. That's because today Samsung released two pieces of information about their upcoming blockbusting smartphone – its enhanced security features and also its line of designer accessories. The Galaxy S6 will come with something called Trustonic for KNOX, a new mobile security solution. It will also optionally come with “a robust portfolio of accessories” designed by Montblanc, Swarovski, Rebecca Minkoff, Romero Britto, and Burton. Both your right brain and your left brain are going to be all abuzz.

First, the serious stuff. “Samsung has a long history of designer partnerships and an unparalleled understanding of how technology enhances fashion and how fashion inspires technology,” said Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics. “The premium accessory collection for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge represents our commitment to uniting the worlds of fashion and technology. Samsung has and will continue to pursue and create innovative, meaningful collaborations with the fashion industry that resonate with the ever-evolving consumer and provide them with essential tools for self-expression.” And boy do they mean it. No matter what your lifestyle is, whether you are a hardcore snowboarder, a fashion diva, or a fan of international pop artist Romero Britto, Samsung has got just the case for you. Words cannot fully grasp the sparkliness of the four different colors of Swarovski slide covers with crystals in, or the sturdy seriousness of the Montblanc protective shielding. Just look at the photos, seriously.

But don't forget that inside all of that glitter and jazz is going to be the most secure Android experience yet to date, if press releases are to be believed. It's all come down to Trustonic for KNOX, which is a new bit of security software. It will be embedded into Galaxy S6 and Edge smartphones, and also rolled out to pre-existing Galaxy devices via software updates. It is hardware-based security that is supposed to protect against click-jacking, guard transactions, and enable simpler passwords. Its features include strong user authentication, single sign-on, and secure tokenization.

“The growing trend of using increasingly important services on mobile devices makes it essential to combine increased trust in the device with a seamless, simple user experience,” said Ben Cade, CEO of Trustonic.  “Trustonic for KNOX will see the Trusted User Interface deployed in massive volume, truly raising the bar on the experiences consumers expect. This is a truly significant development in mobile security. Trustonic for KNOX is the result of a deep partnership with Samsung focused on enhancing the level of trust that consumers and enterprises can experience in mobile devices.”

While new security solutions are often fraught with unanticipated problems, you can't deny the bling. Look at it. Gaze upon its beauty.
