AIA Korea announced on July 14 the debut of ‘AI Sonny,’ an artificial intelligence-based ‘younger brother’ of the Tottenham Hotspur player Son Heung-min.

As the AI-based spokesperson for AIA Korea, ‘AI Sonny’ will directly engage, educate and inspire AIA customers, agents and partners in Korea to improve physical, mental and environmental wellness.

AIA Korea revealed Son’s younger brother AI Sonny at half-time during the Team K League match which took place at Seoul World Cup Stadium on July 13. Tottenham Hotspur is visiting Korea as part of its pre-season tour from July 10 to 16.

“We are truly thrilled to introduce 'AI Sonny' who is the digital brother of Son Heung-min, AIA Korea’s Brand Ambassador,” said Nathan Chuang, CEO of AIA Korea. “We are excited to see AI Sonny help us reach out to more people across Korea to increase awareness of our purpose of helping people live 'Healthier, Longer, Better Lives' and creating positive impact in society.”

AIA Korea worked with DeepBrain AI, a leading video synthesis company, to create AI Sonny, an AI Human. An AI Human is a digital copy of a real person using deep learning-based voice and video synthesis technology, as well as natural language analysis technology.
