Support for Reconstruction of Ukraine
Hankook Technology said that the company and its subsidiary DSME Construction discussed participation in rebuilding Ukraine with a Ukrainian parliamentary delegation at the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) in Seoul on July 12.
Hankook Technology and DSME Construction promised the delegation that they will substantially support Ukraine, which is currently facing difficulties due to Russia’s invasion, and actively cooperate with Ukraine in the post-war reconstruction of the nation.
They said they will make efforts to form a foundation by gathering mid-sized Korean companies for cooperation with the Ukrainian government.
The delegation requested Korea's support for rebuilding Mariupol, a Ukrainian city destroyed by the war, into a city like Songdo, Incheon of Korea. It also proposed a South Korean delegation’s visit to Ukraine to discuss post-war reconstruction with Ukrainian companies.
