Special Cargo Transportation Service

A T-50B aircraft is loaded onto an Asiana Airlines B747 cargo plane.

Asiana Airlines announced on July 4 that it has delivered nine T-50B aircraft of the Black Eagles, a special flight team of the South Korean Air Force, to London of the United Kingdom on three occasions on June 9, 12, and 15.

The 9 T-50B aircraft will put up a show in the Southport Air Show and Farnborough Air Show, which are to kick off in the U.K. in July.

The fuselage of the T-50B is over 13 meters long. It is impossible to load the T-50B onto a cargo plane in a usual way. Asiana Airlines opened the front part of the B747 cargo plane called the nose door to load and unload the planes and successfully completed their transportation through an organic combination of loading equipment and cranes.

Asiana Airlines has successfully transported various special cargoes, including wings for Airbus aircraft, animals exchanged between Korean and Thai zoos, fresh food such as cherries, temperature-sensitive medicines such as vaccines, and semiconductors.
