To Provide US$300mn of a US$6.6bn Syndicated Loan

KB Kookmin Bank has participated in raising a US$6.6 billion syndicated loan for the redevelopment of JFK International Airport.

KB Kookmin Bank announced on June 28 that it has jointly arranged financing for JFK New Terminal One project with global banks, including MUFG, SMBC and ING Bank.

JFK International Airport is one of the largest airports in the United States, but is in need of redevelopment due to the recent deterioration of airport facilities and lack of terminals.

According to the bank, the participating financial companies will provide a syndicated loan of US$6.6 billion, of which KB Kookmin Bank will provide US$300 million.

KB Kookmin Bank's participation in the project financing deal is the outcome of a strategic investment agreement signed by KB Kookmin Bank and the Carlyle Group in 2021.
