Friendly MOU
South Korea's Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. signed a comprehensive cooperation pact with GE on Feb. 25.
Jung Soo-Hyun, president of Hyundai E&C, and John G. Rice, vice president of GE, attended an MOU ceremony at the headquarters of Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co.
The two companies will join hands to enhance cooperation in energy and infrastructure businesses, including construction and engineering projects throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and in the Americas as well.
A Hyundai E&C official said, “Thanks to the firm trust built between Hyundai Motor Group and GE, we can maintain a cooperative relationship. Under this deal, we expect further business opportunities among the affiliates of the two conglomerates.”
The construction firm is an affiliate of Hyundai Motor Group, the world's fifth-largest auto giant.
