Korea Gas Corp. (KOGAS) announced that it has signed an MOU with Sempra Infrastructure, an energy infrastructure company in the United States, to strengthen cooperation in North American energy infrastructure projects.

A signing ceremony was held in Houston, Texas on April 1 (local time), in the presence of KOGAS CEO Chae Hee-bong and Sempra Infrastructure CEO Justin Bird.

Sempra Infrastructure is the largest energy infrastructure company in North America. The company is developing and operating LNG, low-carbon and clean energy businesses in Mexico and the United States.

The two companies agreed to cooperate in developing new business opportunities in all areas of energy, including the LNG business, the hydrogen infrastructure business, and the carbon capture business. In particular, the two companies decided to strengthen their mutual cooperation system to achieve their corporate visions of preemptively responding to global carbon-neutral policies and expanding participation in low-carbon businesses.
