Net Selling in KOSPI Amounts to KRW5.1tn in March Alone

Foreign investors net sold 7.6 trillion won worth of Korean stocks in the first quarter of this year.

Foreign investors’ net selling in KOSPI and KOSDAQ totaled 5.8 trillion won and 1.8 trillion won in the first quarter of this year, respectively.

Their net selling in KOSPI amounted to 5.1 trillion won in March alone, the largest since August last year, when the amount was 6.3 trillion won.

They sold a huge amount of LG Energy Solution shares in particular. The company went public on Jan. 27 and the net selling reached 2.9471 trillion won at the end of March. In addition, the net selling amounted to more than 1.01 trillion won, 966.7 billion won, 957 billion won, 859.8 billion won and 852.8 billion won in the case of Samsung Electronics, Kakao, Naver, Hyundai Motor Company and Samsung SDI, respectively.

On the other hand, their net buying in SK Hynix, LG Chem and Hyundai Glovis was 1.1808 trillion won, 913.3 billion won and 672.1 billion won in the first quarter.
