Top 10 Phones under US$500 Includes 6 Galaxy A Models
Among Samsung Electronics’ smartphone lineups, the Galaxy A series sold the most in Europe 2021.
The Galaxy A series accounted for 59 percent of Samsung Electronics' smartphone sales in Europe in 2021. It was followed by the Galaxy S series with 24 percent and others with 17 percent, according to market research firm Counterpoint Research.
In 2021, the best-selling model in the European Android smartphone market was the Galaxy A12, which accounted for 6 percent. However, when Apple’s iPhones are included, its sales ranking falls to 5th place.
In the European smartphone market for models worth US$500 or less, six of the top 10 best-selling products belonged to the Galaxy A series.
Counterpoint Research said Apple’s latest budget smartphone iPhone SE3 has a powerful A15 processor. Yet it said the Galaxy A53 is ahead of the iPhone SE3 in functional terms, including display, camera, and night mode.
