The cloud-based platform provides water-related data owned by various organizations such as Korea Water Resources Corp. and the Korean Ministry of Environment. It is intended to help develop digital solutions to various water problems.

The platform allows users to create, share, and utilize water-related data of the highest quality fastest. Furthermore, it provides a solution trading environment, which connects various consumers and suppliers around the world and offers one-stop support for transactions.

The main functions of ‘wateRound’ include a marketplace for water-related solutions, the provision of data necessary for solution development and analysis, an integrated search for water-related technologies and academic materials and an open community where members can experience related big data analysis, utilization, and execution.

‘wateRound’ currently provides about 34 solutions, including an intelligent leak monitoring system. In addition, it plans to cooperate with Naver, the largest IT company in Korea, to jointly discover promising innovative companies in the domestic water sector and support them with cloud infrastructure, technology consulting, marketing, and global market development.
