High-efficiency Heat Pump
LG Electronics is releasing a new gas powered heat pump, the Gas Heat Pump Super 2, at the end of this month. The product is a gas-driven engine heat pump with on 30 horsepower.
Thirty horsepower is equivalent of 85kW for cooling capacity and 95kW of heating capacity, which makes it the world's largest. LG Electronics is the only company in Korea that can develop and produce products with 30 horsepower with its own technology.
The product is highly efficient, using a gas-powered engine. Its powerful car engine it improves its efficiency drastically. With a cooling efficiency of COP 1.30 and a heating efficiency of 1.51, the product achieved the most efficiency in the same level of capacity, like its existing products.
The product is able to manage 12 schoolrooms of 20 pyeong (66.12m2) at once. The company made this product as close to noiseless as possible, achieving the world’s lowest noise level of 60dB for a gas-powered heat pump.
Last year, LG Electronics launched three types of Gas Heat Pump Super 2s with 16, 20, and 25 horsepower. With the release of the new product this time, LG Electronics will have a full line-up of 4 capacities using its own technology.
