COVID-19 self-test kit of SD BioSensor

COVID-19 self-test kit exports from South Korea are increasing again with regard to the omicron variant spreading worldwide.

This month, SD BioSensor signed large-scale contracts with the United States and Singapore. Specifically, the contracts total 136.9 billion won and the supply to Singapore is its third large-scale supply to the country after those in October last year. The 99.8 billion won contract with the United States was concluded on Jan. 17.

Seegene recently signed a contract with Israel to supply diagnostic agents for 5.1 million persons. One-third of the supply was shipped out last month and the rest was shipped out this month. The amount can cover more than 57 percent of the total population of Israel.

Last month, GeneSystem and NGeneBio signed COVID-19 test kit supply contracts with South Africa and Vietnam, respectively. The contracts are worth 880 million won and 300 million won, respectively.
