One Enterprise No Longer Belongs to One Specific Industry
One of the keywords of CES 2022, which took place from Jan. 5 to 7, is digital and industrial connectivity, that is, one enterprise no longer belonging to one specific industry.
For example, Hyundai Heavy Industries exhibited self-navigating ship models, Sierra Space showed its Dream Chaser space plane, and Abbott CEO Robert Ford became the first CES keynote speaker in the healthcare industry.
Hyundai Motor Group introduced its mobility vision as a combination of robotics and metaverse and Sony declared that it would enter the electric vehicle industry. Sony’s concept electric car Vision-S attracted huge attention, and the company also exhibited drones and satellites utilizing its image sensor technology.
“CES 2022 clearly showed that industrial boundaries are disappearing and this is being led by increasing connectivity such as the development of 5G communications,” an expert said.
