KGC Ginseng Corp. (KGC) has released a world map of best-selling CheongKwanJang Red Ginseng products by country.

China takes the lion’s share in the overseas red ginseng market. Like Korea, China has a Lunar New Year culture, so ginseng sales in January and February exceed more than 20 percent of annual total sales in China.

Taiwan and Hong Kong come after China. Previously, there was a general perception in these countries that ginseng is an expensive product eaten by the elderly, but the launch of Everytime, a ginseng extract from KGC, completely changed the image of red ginseng in these markets.

Singapore and Malaysia basically have a high understanding of ginseng, as the two countries have many ethnic Chinese consumers. In Singapore, the bestseller is Everytime among KGC ginseng products.

Vietnam has a high preference for Korean ginseng and considers it the most luxurious and precious health enhancement food gift. Everytime accounts for the largest share in Vietnam, too. As the proportion of young people is high in Vietnam, they prefer products easy to carry and consume.

The stick-type Everytime is also popular in Japan. In the past, many red ginseng tablet products were sold, but recently, the younger generation who frequently watched people enjoy stick-type red ginseng products through Korean TV shows enjoy Everytime.

Meanwhile, KGC opened a hands-on CheongKwanJang Red Ginseng store named Ginseng Museum Cafe in Manhattan, New York, in September 2021. It is a place where foreigners who are unfamiliar with Korean ginseng can experience it in person. The most popular product in the U.S. market is Red Ginseng Extract. As there are not many CheongKwanJang Red Ginseng stores in the United States, American consumers prefer products that can be eaten for a long time after purchases.
