A Pajama for 119,000 won
HYBE has released pajama and pillow products and the products are causing controversy for unusually high prices. Each of the two pajama products has a price of 119,000 won and the price of the pillow is 69,000 won.
According to the company, BTS member Jin participated in the planning of the products. “I think my idea in the products is about 80 percent and I wanted to make pajamas with a pocket for a mobile phone,” he said, adding, “The quality products could be made by many people’s efforts.”
Some fans, however, are saying that the price is too high given that the pajamas are made of cotton. Even the BTS member said that the price is something unexpected.
HYBE is expanding business beyond the music industry these days and its new business includes Korean language education, webtoons, web novels and animations. According to some fans, the company is becoming increasingly greedy in doing so.
