Via a Chartered Plane
Seegene announced on Dec. 29 that it will export 1.7 million doses of COVID-19 diagnostic reagent Allplex SARS-CoV-2 Master Assay, which can diagnose the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, to Israel through a chartered airplane.
Earlier this month, the company shipped 2.8 million doses of the Omicron diagnostic reagent to 5 countries in Europe -- Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Lithuania -- via a chartered plane on Dec. 19.
Israel crossed 1,300 daily confirmed cases, the highest since mid-October. Accordingly, the Israeli government announced that it will start the fourth round of vaccinations for medical workers aged 60 or older.
The country also sent a chartered plane to Korea in April 2020, the early days of the spread of COVID-19, to import Seegene’s diagnostic reagents.
