Samsung to Launch Stylishly-designed Ultra Portable SSD T1

Samsung Electronics showcased the Portable SSD T1, which can replace existing large, heavy, and slow HDDs.

The T1 is a new SSD lineup based on 3D V NAND. All of the 1 TB, 500 GB, 250 GB models work at a speed of 450 MB/s both reading and writing, four times as fast as existing HDDs, and can deliver 250 MB/s to 350 MB/s in most unfavorable working environments. In addition, each model is 0.8 times smaller than a business card on a side and weighs only 30 grams, making them easy to carry around.

Samsung is planning to sell the Portable SSD T1 in 15 countries starting this month, including Korea, the U.S., China, and Germany, and to other countries afterwards.
