IA Korea contributed 100 million won from the Share Your Dream Fund to the Korean Association of Children with Leukemia in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on Dec. 13.

This is the 18th consecutive year that AIA Korea’s executives, employees and master planners (face-to-face sales agents) made donations through the fund in support of children suffering from leukemia and cancer. AIA Korea also shared English Premier League Football Club Tottenham Hotspur jerseys, which AIA is the global principal sponsor, exercise apparel and stationery to children.

Since 2004, AIA Korea has donated a total of 1.23 billion won in support of medical expenses and scholarships for more than 150 children with leukemia and cancer. The Share Your Dream Fund is an internal program that collects monthly voluntary donations made by AIA Korea’s executives, employees and master planners, supplemented by the company’s matching funds.

The fund received additional support from AIA Korea’s (Non-par) AIA Vitality i-Assemble Comprehensive Health Plan launch event, with donations of 10,000 won for each sale of the insurance product.

Across the company, AIA Korea continues to implement various CSR programs promoting people's 'Healthier lives.' Earlier this year, the company launched the 'Ssuk Ssuk' and 'Treasure Map' campaigns as part of the 'Good Walking' CSR project. These campaigns were carried out as part of AIA Vitality earlier this year.

With the fund raised through these two campaigns, AIA Korea provided healthy meals with fresh fruits and vegetables for underprivileged children exposed to unbalanced diets, and contributed financial resources to make the Natural Heritage Multimedia Braille Book (by the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage) for visually impaired children.
