Helping People Live ‘Healthier, Longer, Better Lives’

AIA Korea employees with winter heating supplies and Christmas trees to be delivered to communities struggling with energy poverty

AIA Korea is donating winter care packages to low-income communities who often find the increase in energy costs challenging during the cold winter season. The company will provide household items made by employees, making corporate social responsibility a personal and valuable experience.

On Dec. 9, AIA Korea employees visited the community in Seongbuk-dong, Bukjeong Village in Seoul to distribute winter supplies to help ensure everyone can safely live through the upcoming winter. They distributed much needed supplies to support those affected by energy poverty and shared Scandiamoss Christmas trees to not only warm people’s bodies, but hearts as well.

Earlier on Dec. 2, a group of AIA Korea employees visited a plastic greenhouse community in Namtaeryeong, Bangbae-dong, Seoul to distribute winter supplies including electric mats, blankets and hand warmers.

Across the company, AIA Korea continues to implement various CSR programs promoting people's healthier lives. The company has launched the 'Ssuk Ssuk' and 'Treasure Map' campaigns as part of the 'Good Walking' CSR project. These campaigns were carried out in conjunction with AIA Vitality earlier this year. With the fund raised through these two campaigns, AIA Korea provided healthy meals with fresh fruits and vegetables for underprivileged children exposed to unbalanced diets and contributed financial resources to make the Natural Heritage Multimedia Braille Book (by the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage) for visually impaired children.
