Up Two Notches from 2020
Samsung Electronics ranked second in YouGov’s Best Brand Rankings 2021, which was based on consumer perceptions in 54 markets around the world. The Korean tech giant rose by two notches from fourth place in 2020, beating Netflix and YouTube.
YouGov is British market research firm. It announced this year’s list on Nov. 16.
Google topped the list. Samsung Electronics was followed by Netflix, YouTube, and WhatsApp. Like last year, information technology (IT) companies made the top 5 this year. Shopee, Amazon, Adidas, Detol and Nike ranked sixth to tenth.
Samsung Electronics ranked fourth in 2017, third in 2018, fourth in 2019, and fourth in 2020. It was included in the top five for the fifth consecutive year.
YouGov selects the best global brands every year by utilizing panel data from 54 markets around the world and more than 17 million people. Evaluation items include brand impression, quality, value, satisfaction, recommendations and reputations.
