Google Picked as the Most Attractive Employer
Global HR consulting firm Universum announced its World's Most Attractive Employers list for this year on Oct. 6. A total of 26,802 IT majors worldwide picked Google as the most attractive employer and Samsung Electronics took the seventh place.
The annual survey has been conducted in the countries including the United States, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, India and South Korea. Undergraduate and graduate students majoring in IT, engineering and business administration participate in the survey.
In the IT and engineering segment of the survey, Samsung Electronics came in ninth in 2016 and 2018, tenth in 2017 and 2020, and eighth in 2019. In the engineering and business administration segments including 84,476 and 110,529 students, the company came in 10th and 21st, respectively. Its ranking rose from 43rd to 21st in one year.
