In 3 Months since Launch in June

Hana Financial Group's LINE Bank has attracted more than 200,000 new customers in three months since its launch in June.

Hana Financial Group said on Sept. 23 that LINE Bank, which was launched in Indonesia in June, surpassed 200,000 new customers in three months since its launch.

LINE Bank posted 240,000 debit accounts, 160,000 debit cards, and 195.1 billion rupiah in deposit balance as of Sept. 15.

LINE Bank is a digital banking service launched in Indonesia by Hana Financial Group in collaboration with LINE, a global mobile platform that boasts roughly 188 million monthly active users (MAUs) around the world. The bank offers such services as opening an account through e-KYC, which is an integrated service platform for non-face-to-face real name authentication, time deposits, debit card services, QR code-based simple payment, cardless money withdrawals, and payment of bills.

LINE Bank was able to quickly attract new customers because it met the needs of the MZ generation through quick and convenient non-face-to-face real-name authentication and account opening, simple yet differentiated UIs/UXs, and the exemption of remittance fees.
