Targeting New Markets

Lil Solid 2.0

KT&G announced on Aug. 10 that its e-cigarette "Lil" has succeeded in entering 10 foreign countries. It has been a year since the company first exported the product to Russia in August 2020.

KT&G signed a contract to supply e-cigarette Lil with Philip Morris International (PMI) for overseas sales and launched the product in Russia and Ukraine in 2020. It also released Lil HYBRID 2.0 in Japan.

This year, KT&G is targeting new markets based on its new product Lil Solid 2.0. Following the launch of Lil Solid 2.0 in Russia and Ukrainia, the company expanded overseas markets to Southeast Europe and Central Asia, including Kazakhstan, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan and North Macedonia.

Lil Solid 2.0 is a second-generation e-cigarette introduced by KT&G in early 2021. Its advantages include upgraded battery efficiency and induction heating technology. It comes in two colors -- stone grey and cosmic blue -– in overseas markets. It has seven types of sticks including "Fiit Regular," "Fiit Regular Sky" and "Fiit Marine." KT&G is selling three to four of them depending on local situations. The e-cigarette is receiving positive responses from local consumers.
