Due to Global Automotive Chip Shortage

The Trailblazer SUV from GM Korea

GM Korea announced on Aug. 2 that it sold 4,886 cars in South Korea and 14,329 cars abroad last month.

In July this year, the global automotive chip shortage seriously affected its business activities both at home and abroad. Specifically, the domestic and overseas sales volumes dropped 30.1 percent and 48.2 percent year on year, respectively. The overall sales decline amounted to 44.5 percent.

These days, the automaker is striving to improve its performance with the Chevy Trailblazer in particular. It has attracted consumers at home and abroad with its excellent cost-effectiveness and marketability. In June this year, it was the most exported vehicle from South Korea.
