An Attractive Investment Destination

The Bank of America has selected China and South Korea as the most attractive emerging market investment destinations.

The Bank of America said in its report on July 19 that China and South Korea are currently the most attractive emerging market investment destinations.

The report covers eight Asian countries along with five Latin American countries and seven in the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Its five evaluation categories are the current status of vaccination against COVID-19, the ratio of digital economy, vulnerability to U.S. tapering, monetary policy, and valuation. The perfect score in each category is 20.

South Korea recorded a total score of 59. Specifically, its score is 18 in the ratio of digital economy, 19 in vulnerability to U.S. tapering, and 12 in the current status of vaccination against COVID-19. However, it recorded three in attractiveness in terms of valuation to be seen as the third-most expensive market. Taiwan and Russia scored one and two in this category, respectively.

China posted a total score of 69, which includes 18 in vaccination status, 18 in digital economy ratio and 15 in valuation.
