Tops 2021 Asia's Top 1000 Brands

Samsung, Apple, Panasonic, Sony and LG top 2021 Asia's Top 1000 Brands.

Campaign Asia-Pacific and Nielsen announced on July 20 that Samsung topped their Asia's Top 1000 Brands list for this year. The 18-year-old list shows consumer preferences in 14 Asia-Pacific countries, and Samsung took the top spot for the 10th consecutive year this year.

"Samsung Group is the biggest tech giant in South Korea and Samsung Electronics is a pioneer in the field of 5G, foldable smartphone, 8K OLED TV, and many more,” Campaign Asia-Pacific explained, adding, “It is working on chips for autonomous driving while increasing its IoT investment, and it is the largest smartphone manufacturer and the second-largest semiconductor company in the world.”

This year's online survey was from April 12 to 30 in South Korea, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The list is divided into 15 categories, including apparel and accessories, cars, consumer electronics, delivery, and financial services. 400 persons replied in each country except for Japan, India and China, where 800, 1200 and 1600 replies were given, respectively.

Samsung came in first in the categories of TV, cleaning appliance and smart home technology. It came in second behind Apple in mobile phone, computer and tablet PC. Samsung's consumer preference ranking is 5th in China, 8th in Taiwan, and 43rd in Japan. It is 1st in the other 11 countries.
