Android device manufacturer Huawei and eBay Korea, the company behind online auction and shopping mall websites such as Gmarket and Auction, announced on Oct. 30 that they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the previous day to sell Huawei phones exclusively on Gmarket and Auction.

The two companies agreed to appoint Gmarket and Auction as official distribution channels for Huawei phones and sell accessories for Huawei phones like Bluetooth and wearable devices exclusively on those online auction and shopping mall websites.

As a result, Huawei phone cases, batteries, Bluetooth, and wearable devices are going to be showcased as early as the beginning of November, with Huawei phones by the end of this year.

“I'm pleased to have an opportunity to offer our good products to Korean consumers in an easier manner through Gmarket and Auction," said Ding Neng, president and CEO of Huawei Korea. He added, “I'll try hard to showcase many products by boosting cooperation in marketing.”
