Aims to Attain 100% Renewable Electricity by 2030

AmorePacific has joined RE100 global campaign.

AmorePacific has become the first beauty care company in Korea to join RE100, a global campaign that brings together hundreds of large and ambitious businesses committed to 100 percent renewable electricity.

The company announced on March 10 that it will attain 100 percent renewable electricity at its entire workplaces at home and abroad.

RE100 was launched in 2014 by The Climate Group, a multinational non-profit organization, and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

Currently, more than 290 companies worldwide, including Google, Microsoft, and Apple, have joined the global campaign.

"Amore Pacific has taken an important step towards improving sustainability by declaring the goal of attaining RE100 by 2030," said Aleksandra Klassen, senior impact manager in charge of RE100 at The Climate Group. "I hope more Korean companies will participate in RE100 after recognizing its necessity from a business perspective."
