A New Platform for K-pop
NCSoft will launch K-pop entertainment platform "Universe" simultaneously at home and abroad on Jan. 28.
Universe is an all-in-one platform that allows users to enjoy a variety of online and offline fandom activities on their mobile devices.
Pre-orders exceeded 4 million as of Jan. 21. K-pop fans from 188 countries have placed pre-orders, with overseas fans accounting for 80 percent. Those who place pre-orders through Google Play or Apple App Store will be given tickets to participate in future K-pop events and NCSoft game item coupons.
NCSoft will hold the online live concert "UNI-KON" on Feb. 14. The UNI-KON will be broadcast live around the world through the Universe app. Every Universe user will be able to watch it for free.
NCSoft plans to use extended reality (XR) technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) to make the concert more enjoyable and provide a multi-view function that allows viewers to watch performances from various angles.
