Hyperconnect, a Korean company specializing in video technology and artificial intelligence (AI), announced on Jan. 13 its plans to enter the enterprise business, offering its own tried and tested B2C technologies to corporate clients globally.

As COVID-19 accelerates rapid adoption of services that rely on video communication, artificial intelligence (AI), and augmented reality (AR) technologies, Hyperconnect will offer these very same capabilities that underpin its suite of leading social app products.

Hyperconnect will provide global customers with the opportunity to utilize proprietary, in-house technologies, including video communication APIs for one-on-one video, group video, and real-time live-streaming optimized via successful growth of its global video chat service “Azar" and social live-streaming platform “Hakuna Live.”

• Hyperconnect enables an immersive technology for live broadcasting, live-streaming, audio/video calls, and intuitive in-app chatting to all-device enablers.

“At its core, Hyperconnect’s expertise is creating platforms that enable users globally to have fun by making real connections— and to support and cultivate these connections via advanced and reliable technologies,” said Hyperconnect chief business officer JungHoon “JH” Kim. “We aim to provide solutions that combine the best of our video communication technology with supporting AI and AR capabilities, offering the same ideal mix of performance, stability, and versatility that our own B2C apps have enjoyed. We are currently recruiting partners both locally and abroad, in order to conduct solution testing.”

Hyperconnect, based in Seoul, South Korea, is globally recognized for its advancements in the world of artificial intelligence, particularly its development of a proprietary “on-device” AI engine. A next-generation deep learning technology that runs directly on mobile devices, Hyperconnect’s on-device AI drives powerful in-app capabilities without data ever leaving the device, mitigating data leakage and privacy issues while enabling groundbreaking outcomes across video, image, voice, and text.

Hyperconnect’s accolades also include its real-time voice translation technology, ultimately published and adopted in 2019 and 2020 at INTERSPEECH, the International Society for Speech Language Processing. Hyperconnect was the first Korean company to win the CVPR 2018 International Low-Power Image-Type Competition (LPIRC).
