Lotte Chemical has expanded the engineered stone production lines at its Belenco plant in Turkey. Engineered stones are used for production of artificial marble.

Lotte Chemical announced on Jan. 11 that a third production line at the Belenco plant has been completed and will start commercial production from the end of this month. The company invested about 30 billion won to set up the new line, which has an annual production capacity of 120,000 sheets.

Lotte Chemical's Advanced Materials Business Division acquired the Belenco plant in 2019, which is the No. 1 producer of engineered stones in Turkey. Its two production lines have a combined annual production capacity of 230,000 sheets. Through this expansion, the company will be able to ramp up its production volume to 350,000 units.

Lotte Chemical also has an engineered stone plant in Yeosu, Korea. Its total production capacity has been increased to 440,000 sheets a year.
