A Mega Export Deal
GC Medical Science (GC MS) has landed a mega export deal that exceeds three times its annual sales.
GC MS, a company specializing in diagnostic reagents and medical devices, announced on Dec. 29 that it has signed a contract with MCA Partners of the United States to supply US$264 million worth of GENEDIA W COVID-19 Ag, an antigen COVID-19 diagnostic kit. The amount is 309 percent of the company's sales of 94.1 billion won in 2019.
Under the deal, GC MS will supply 60 million kits to MCA Partners, which supplies diagnostic kits to a group of U.S. wholesale distributors, for one year. Sales of the diagnostic kits will start as soon as the U.S. FDA gives the product an emergency use approval (EUA).
