Following The New York Times, global travel website The Travel has picked Nongshim's Shin Ramen Black as the world's best ramen.

The Travel selected Nongshim Shin Ramen Black as one of the four best ramen of the year, the other three being "Prima Taste Singapore Laksa La Mian" of Singapore, "MAMA Noodles" of Thailand and "Sapporo Ichiban Ramen" of Japan.

The Travel cited the taste and texture of Shin Ramen Black as the strengths of Shin Ramen Black (The Best in Flavor, Texture, and Boldness), saying, "This is the top competitor to beat in the world of ramen." More specifically, Shin Ramyun Black's noodles are much richer than other ramen and maintain a consistent flavor until the last bite, and its soup enhances its flavor with mushrooms and vegetables.

Introducing it as a bestseller on Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce company, it also said that ramen is worth challenging even those who can't eat spicy food.

In the "The Best in Luxury and Mild Flavor," category, Singapore's Prima Taste Singapore Laksa La Mian was chosen as the best. The ramen offers a luxurious taste of soft soup with coconut milk.

Thailand's Mama Ramen MAMA Noodle has been named as the best ramen in the Best in Balanced Flavor and Comfort category. “Mamma Ramen is a famous product in the Asian market and boasts a rich and satisfying taste," The Travel said, recommending Mama Ramen with addictive curry flavors in addition to the most famous Mama ramen product with chicken flavors.

Lastly, The Travel introduced Japan's Saporo Ichiban Ramen as the Best Traditional Ramen. Particularly, The Travel introduced a tonkotsu version of Saporo Ichiban Ramen as a ramen much loved by ramen lovers. “The soup is thick and soft, and you can eat it with various ingredients such as eggs, seaweed and shrimps," it said.

Earlier in June, Wirecutter, a product review site of The New York Times, cited Nongshim's Shin Ramen Black as the world's most delicious ramen. Shin Ramen Black proudly topped the list of the best 11 instant noodles selected by reporters and experts.

Shin Ramen has already been sold in more than 100 countries around the world, playing a leading role in the K-ramen craze around the world. Shin Ramen Black is also considered a food with special value unlike other instant noodles in the United States.
