Korea's Largest Cosmetics & Beauty Expo
The 2020 Osong Cosmetics & Beauty Expo will take place online as a B2B (business-to-business) event, the organizers announced on Aug. 12.
The expo was initially planned to take place as an offline event at Osong Station, North Chungcheong Province, under the slogan “K-Beauty Shines in Osong,” but will be held online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The government of North Chungcheong Province has successfully hosted the B2B and B2C (business-to-customer) expo annually, contributing significantly to the promotion of the domestic cosmetics industry.
The Osong Expo comes at a time when most domestic and overseas beauty expos have been canceled or postponed due to COVID-19. The online event will keep South Korea’s largest field-based cosmetics and beauty expo alive and further elevate its prestige on the global stage.
The event will offer a new online promotion and business consultation system that can be used when crises similar to the COVID-19 pandemic occur in the future. This way, it will help cosmetics companies be in touch with customers and monitor market trends.
The online expo website will have web pages dedicated to ‘Online Corporate and Product Information,’ ‘Business Consulting,’ ‘e-Conferences,’ and ‘K-Beauty.’ Product samples will be provided to selected domestic and international buyers in advance and a product reviewer program will be arranged in order to provide support to participant companies and their products.
The 2020 Osong Cosmetics & Beauty Expo will take place at www.osongbeautyexpo.kr from Oct. 20-24. The organizers anticipate the participation of a wide range of visitors including cosmetics companies, buyers, and the public. Various cosmetics and beauty products from the participating firms will be available for viewing at the web page ‘Product Promotion Hall’ in early October.
