A Platform for Digital Transformation Services
Samsung SDS has completed Digital Transformation (DT) Engine, a platform that combines its experiences and resources to provide comprehensive digital transformation services to client companies.
DT Engine integrates the company’s experiences accumulated at domestic and foreign industrial sites including Samsung affiliates, up-to-date digital technologies developed for years and 17 domestic and foreign data centers and global clouds.
The new platform is characterized by five keywords – artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, cloud, data analysis and security (ABCDS).
It incorporates AI, analysis and IoT platforms, business automation and collaboration solutions, enterprise blockchain platforms, hybrid cloud services and integrated security services.
The AI, analysis and IoT platforms consist of Brightics IoT, an IoT platform that collects and corrects vast amounts of data, and Brightics AI, an integrated AI platform that analyzes and intelligentizes collected data quickly. Samsung SDS collects vast amounts of data generated in various industries such as manufacturing, finance, logistics, retail, and medical services through IoT platform Brightics IoT, and analyzes and intelligentizes them with AI platform Brightics AI.
In automation and collaboration, pivotal roles are played by the business automation solution Brity RPA, the enterprise chatbot Brity Assistant and enterprise messenger Brity Messenger. Developed by Samsung SDS, Brity RPA features such AI technologies as an enterprise chatbot, intelligent optical character reading, text analysis, machine learning, and deep learning. Through this process, it automates high-level complex work areas such as judgments, examinations, and evaluations.
In the blockchain field, Nexledger serves as the base platform. Nexledger can carry out identity authentication, payment, and distribution history management more than 15 times faster than others. Based on Nexledger Universal, an enterprise blockchain platform, Samsung SDS has accumulated various business experiences such as identity authentication, payment, customs clearance, and distribution history management. Nexledger Universal supports various blockchain cores such as Hyperledger Fabric and Ethereum with its own Nexledger Consensus Algorithm (NCA). Samsung SDS has increased its processing speed of blockchain transactions by 15 times using acceleration technology of its own development.
Samsung SDS also provides a foundation for stable digital innovation through the hybrid cloud service SDS Cloud and the integrated security service SDS Security. It provides cloud services ranging from consulting to overall operations by linking 17 global data centers including four in Korea and 13 overseas and global cloud services.
The company also has quite strong security technology. Based on the three principles of "blocking entries, shutting down exits and making leaked data useless," the company is carrying out integrated security controls for some 600 companies around the world, ranging from the nation's largest public cloud systems to homepages, firewalls, continued intelligent threats and malicious codes.
