To Facilitate Launching of Convergence Services
The Ministry of Science and ICT has finalized standard frameworks for ICT convergence to develop smart health and smart farm technologies.
According to the ministry, the standard frameworks are expected to help advance the launching of innovative convergence services such as algorithm-based smart farm control, family doctor services and remote patient monitoring based on artificial intelligence, big data and the Internet of Things.
Specifically, the standard framework for AI-based family doctor services defines service scenarios in relation to doctors, patients, medical big data and AI-based family doctor systems. The framework can facilitate the South Korean government’s and standard experts’ international standardization efforts while helping biohealth companies reduce their errors in pursuing innovative services.
The standard framework for smart farming is related to service utilization scenarios in the field of data-based automatic farm control and crop production. The government and enterprises are expected to use the framework for the purpose of advanced agricultural production and management as well as international standardization.
