South Korea to Go to Polls on April 15

South Korea's Central Election Management Committee said on April 14 that more than 14,000 polling stations across the country will be completely disinfected by the end of the day for the general elections on April 15.

The committee said it will take other cautionary measures on the voting day, including temperature checks at entrances of polling stations and requiring voters to use hand sanitizer and wear plastic gloves.

A separate voting booth will be set up at each voting station for people showing respiratory symptoms or a high fever, the committee said.

Meanwhile, the Korean government has allowed people in self-quarantine who don’t have symptoms of COVID-19 to vote in the general elections after 6 p.m. on April 15.
