Samsung SDS's brand value is estimated at US$3.7 billion, up 7 percent from a year ago and 11th highest among global IT service companies, according to a global brand consulting firm.

The company’s brand value increased due to its competitiveness in high-tech business sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud and extensive global partnerships, said Brand Finance in the United Kingdom which assessed the brand values of the top 25 global IT service companies worldwide. Samsung SDS’s ranking rose by one notch from last year.

Brand Finance noted five factors behind Samsung SDS's rapid growth -- its sales growth that exceeded the IT service market average, advanced IT technology-based business competitiveness, strategic investment and partnerships with global companies, and strengths in four strategic businesses (intelligent factories, cloud computing, AI and analytics, and solutions).

Meanwhile, U.S. economic magazine Forbes selected Samsung SDS as one of the global 50 companies that led blockchain diffusion last year. The company also took home the CIO 100 Award for four years in a row for its digital innovation of manufacturing companies.
