A JV for Operation & Maintenance of Power Plants

KEPCO KPS plans to set up a joint venture for operation and maintenance (O&M) of power plants with a Pakistani power generation company.

KEPCO KPS said on Dec. 12 that it will partner with Fauji Foundation of Pakistan, the parent company of FPCDL that placed an O&M order on it for Dahaki Power Plant. KEPCO KPS signed an MOU with the foundation in Pakistan on Dec. 9 (local time).

Under the agreement, the two companies will cooperate through the joint venture in O&M of Fauji Foundation's power plants and industrial facilities, O&M projects for new customers including Pakistan’s state-owned power plants and independent power producers (IPPs), and conducting O&M workshops in Pakistan.

Since its foundation in 1954, Fauji Foundation has worked in various fields such as power generation, cement, fertilizers, oil and gas. Its revenue is estimated at US$2.36 billion.

KEPCO KPS is a power generation and power facility maintenance service company that has carries out O&M projects at 11 overseas sites including India, the Philippines, Pakistan and Madagascar.
