'World of Large Facilities' Put into Service

The "World of Large Facilities" (WOLF) will be put into service this month to allow real-time information and data sharing between large research facilities located in South Korea and Europe.

The Ministry of Science and ICT has announced that the "World of Large Facilities" (WOLF) would be put into service this month. The WOLF is a system for real-time information and data sharing between large research facilities located in South Korea and Europe.

The system is connected to the Zone for Equipment Utilization Service (ZEUS) of the ministry in order to provide various information and data on South Korean and EU research facilities, which have been scattered on the websites of individual facilities.

At present, South Korea is home to 130 large research facilities, including the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory, and the Mapping of the European Research Infrastructure Landscape (MERIL) covers approximately 750 large research facilities.
