Korea Airports Corp., the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea, and the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission signed a memorandum of understanding to provide scholarships for those studying for a master’s degree in aviation.

The corporation announced on Sept. 26 that the MOU was concluded at the 40th General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) that took place in Montreal, Canada on Sept. 25 (local time) and that the same MOU will be concluded with the African Civil Aviation Commission on Sept. 27.

“The scholarship program is to promote the excellent aviation training capabilities of Korea Airports Corporation and South Korea, which is the world’s sixth-largest aviation powerhouse, and to support South Korea’s seventh consecutive term as a member of the ICAO board of directors,” said Korea Airports Corp. President Sohn Chang-wan, adding, “We will make efforts so that we can contribute to the international aviation community by supporting talents to become high-ranking aviation officials who will connect both continents even closer.”
