LG U+ announced on June 25 that top executives of Elisa, the largest telecom carrier in Finland, visited LG U+ Yongsan Building on June 24 to discuss cooperation in 5G services. The Elisa officials included its CEO Veli-Matti Mattila.

Elisa, the No. 1 wired and wireless carrier in Finland, is scheduled to launch commercial 5G services this month at the earliest. In February, LG U+ and Elisa signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on developing 5G services, discovering startups and automating networks at the MWC19 held in Barcelona.

The Elisa executives observed LG U+’s 5G network construction and quality improvement activities. They also learned about LG U+’s core 5G services such as U+AR and U+VR and discussed ways to strengthen future cooperation.

On top of that, they visited LG U+ retail stores and carefully studied customer services and marketing techniques. In particular, they showed much interest in virtual reality (VR) services.
