Mainnet to Be Launched on March 28
The cryptocurrency of Israeli blockchain project ORBS, which has cooperated with South Korean companies such as Kakao, Samsung SDS and YES24, is planned to be listed on Bithumb. The date of listing is yet to be determined. ORBS is planning to issue its cryptocurrency on March 28 with mainnet launching.
ORBS explained that the mainnet will help its partners come up with various blockchain services. The cryptocurrency to be used on its platform will become available on March 28. It also said that the ORBS Coin would be listed first on Bithumb and the coin would become available on Tokenman, where unlisted cryptocurrencies are traded.
“South Korea is one of those countries with the highest ratio of cryptocurrency ecosystem participants and the largest cryptocurrency trading volume, which means it is one of the most important markets in the global blockchain industry,” ORBS co-founder Uriel Peled said last year.
The mainnet launching and listing on Bithumb are likely to lead to a rapid expansion of the ORBS ecosystem in South Korea. The blockchain project signed a contract with YES24 on March 28 to apply its blockchain technology to the online bookstore that has 15 million subscribing members.
